Russell Tobin is working with a leading engineering firm to add to their growing team! This is a direct hire/permanent role and can be based out of one of the following locations:
- Twin Cities, MN
- Bellingham, WA
- Spokane, WA
- Portland, OR
- Billings, MT
Position Summary:
Lead structural engineering efforts for industrial projects, with a focus on detailed engineering, structural analysis, and interdisciplinary coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze complex structures, including steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and foundations.
- Address environmental loads such as seismic and wind conditions.
- Develop site civil designs, including grading, drainage, and stormwater management.
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and calculation packages.
- Perform QA/QC checks and review structural shop drawings.
- Collaborate with suppliers, clients, and interdisciplinary teams throughout project execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering (Master’s preferred) with 10+ years of relevant industrial experience.
- Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., RISA-3D, STAAD).
- Knowledge of industry codes (ACI, IBC, AISC, ASCE).
- Strong communication skills and consulting experience.
- Experience in geotechnical investigations, vibration analysis, and large equipment foundation design is a plus.
Certifications:
- PE license required; SE preferred or willingness to obtain within one year.
